You Don’t Have To Believe Everything You Think

Your brain is a machine and a repository of information. When it comes to emotions, however, it doesn’t always have the best interface with our minds.

Who we are lives in the mind. But the mind is constantly surveilled by the brain, whose priority is to keep the body safe at all costs. Far too often, one cost is our beliefs.

Emotional memories forge pathways in the brain that compete with new information. When challenged, the brain pushes back, resulting in confusion, self-doubt and fear. All of these can keep us from success.

When we learn to identify when this is happening we take conscious control of decision making. This is how authentic change happens. 💜
